Overview

This workshop is designed to provide guidance and support to social care nursing staff on the role of the preceptor and its function in supporting preceptees within your organisation.

What to expect?

By the end of the session attendees will be able to:

  • Define the role of a preceptor in supporting new preceptees
  • Access and utilise various resources that will support in preceptor role
  • Identify further CPD opportunities to develop your skills further

By attending this session, you will be able to connect with others and receive ongoing information and preceptorship guidance and opportunities.

Who should attend?

Nursing staff with more than 12 months' experience or who have completed a period of preceptorship themselves.  You will be keen to support, coach and mentor new preceptees in your organisation. 

Current preceptors are also welcome to attend.

  • Preceptorship lead workshop: Embedding and championing preceptorship. This is only required if you wish to lead on preceptorship in your organisation.
